Brief Description: Match drilling right leading and fuel tank
After installing the right wing leading edge yesterday I match drilled the ribs to the skin and the skin to the spar. I then proceeded to match drill the Z brackets for attaching the fuel tank to the spar. This was followed by assembling and match drilling the right fuel tank skin to the fuel tank ribs as well as the tank aft baffle plate. The tank was put on the spar and aligned with the leading edge. The inboard tank rib to tank baffle to Z bracket was then match drilled. I then removed the leading edge which the allowed me to match drill the outboard rib to aft baffle to Z bracket. With the inboard and outboard Z brackets match drilled I removed the skin from the end ribs and baffle which then allowed me to match drill the remaining Z brackets to the baffle plate. I then reassembled everything for a fit check. Image 1 shows the tank in place after the procedure.
